The world is your stage. This is your instrument.
I had a look at my App Store List of bought Apps and saw, that garageband 6.5 and 10 appear in the list. Could this be a problem? Tried to first install 6.5. After installing and downloading included content of 6.5 (all worked fine) when starting 6.5 GarageBand told me about a newer Version and linked me to the App Store to download the 10.0.3. The Bottom Line. GarageBand offers easy music recording for novices and pros alike, and it comes free with every Mac. The app is still the best way to learn piano or guitar on a computer. Another suggestion - if you've got GarageBand for Catalina on another Mac (or a friend does), it may be possible to send the app via sharing on iCloud Drive. I was able to do this with MainStage. A friend of mine has High Sierra on his MacBook and wanted to download MainStage for all the extra sounds that gives.
