When you create custom number formats, you can specify up to four sections of format code. These sections of code define the formats for positive numbers, negative numbers, zero values, and text, in that order. The sections of code must be separated by semicolons (;). The following example shows the four types of format code sections. Apply code styles For C# code files, Visual Studio 2019 has a Code Cleanup button at the bottom of the editor (keyboard: Ctrl + K, Ctrl + E) to apply code styles from an EditorConfig file or from the Code Style options page. If an.editorconfig file exists for the project, those are the settings that take precedence. Cleanup code: select this option to run the code cleanup inspections. If you want to see the exact changes made to your code during the reformatting, use the Local History feature. Reformat a module or a directory. In the Project tool window, right-click a module or a directory and from the context menu, select Reformat Code or press. Visual Studio for Mac will now format your code following the conventions specified in the.editorconfig file. This will allow you to set your coding style, preferences, and warnings for your project; making it simpler for code that you contribute to other projects to follow the practices of those projects.
